Rain

Into life a little of it must fall, which is usually interpreted as a negative idea. I'd like to 'drench' you in a new perspective on this old adage.

First, actual rain, USUALLY brings much needed relief from hot days and balmy nights. In life, have you ever experienced a much needed break from the mundane through a surprise or happy circumstance? That's rain.

Second, physical rain nourishes plants, replenishes water sources, and sustains both humans and animals alike. Through personal experiences, vicissitudinal though they can be, how many of us have grown, changed or been strengthened. That's rain.

Finally, rain comes and goes and is USUALLY not noteworthy unless it is absent for too long. The same is true for life. Happenstance brings circumstances that flow through our lives but without them we would be as dry and parched as the desert air.

A life without rain...well I wouldn't recommend it. It has been, at least for me, one of my most precious commodities.

Interesting perspective on rain, Lynn. Thanks for such creative ways to think of it.

Much love,
