Happy Birthday Aubrey...One Year Old

I've had this sweetheart since she was four weeks old. Tomorrow, she will be one year old! WOW how time does fly. Happy Birthday Sweet Aubrey...love you much!

She's Walking!!

Well, we have been waiting for this moment for six months! She had the skills at 12 months but just recently has she decided to use those legs that God gave her all on her own. She has been cruising off of practically anything she could get her hands on since she was a year old BUT refused to just 'let go and walk.

Now she has decided that this walking thing is pretty cool out in the middle of the floor too! She still uses the 'booty scoot boogie' whenever she wants to get somewhere fast...as the walking free handed still needs practice...but at least she is walking!!

Thanks goodness! For a while I thought I was going to have to carry her through life! Here she is all proud of herself and everything!

Happy Birthday Zoe....Six Years Old

My sweetest Zoe, my first born, how much you have grown and changed in these past six years. It seems like a lifetime ago that I met your father and married him. When we talked about having a sweet baby we had no idea that she would be as wonderful and gifted as you! I remember the excitement and nervousness I had when I found out that I was pregnant. I also remember the prayers and dreams that I had for you. It is a great honor for me to be able to see you grow and change as well as be able to help guide and raise you into the beautiful woman that God wants you to be.

You have brought so much joy and love into my life and you have so many wonderful adventures ahead of you as you grow and change; live, love, learn and experience all that life has to offer. I feel so blessed and proud to be a part of it all and am very excited to see what God has in store for you.

I love you so very much and am SO VERY PROUD to be your mommy! HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEETHEART!!

Hannah's off to Wee School

Hannah began Wee School this week and is VERY excited about it! She is in Ms. Jessica's three year class and has already charmed her way into the center of attention.....wow are we going to have to keep both eyes on her!!

Hurricane Gustav Update

Hey everyone! I just thought that I would update you on our status as of Monday Afternoon regarding Hurricane Gustav.

It came on land south of New Orleans around 8:00am this morning and was not the monster that we feared 24 hours earlier. As of 12:30, we have not lost power or satellite and there seems to be not much, if any real damage in our area. We feel very thankful to have come through this hurricane as we have....especially with hurricane Katrina memories still buzzing around in our heads and hearts.

God has truly blessed us in SO many ways this Labor Day...which will be one to remember for sure!
