Halloween, Corn Maze and Housekeeping...

I know, I have been a terrible blogger of late but I promise to do better and post at least once a week! On a positive note, I have captured two very fun moments for you and here they are! The first is Halloween. We were very lucky to have "Papa Hat", as he has come to be known for us at least, visiting so he got to experience it all first hand! The second, is Hannah's school field trip to the corn maze. Mark is very blessed to be able to take off work and do things with the girls. Because of technology, I am able to experience at least some of it second hand! Being a daycare giver is great but it doesn't allow for days off-in the job sense- so I am always "on call". Enjoy and I will talk to you SOON!

Zoe's a First grader now!

I can't believe that Zoe is really ready for first grade but here she is. She even woke herself up and got ready

Nan has been my savior on many occasions, one of them being taking Zoe to school on the first day!

Zoe poses at her classroom door for a quick picture.

Here she is with her teacher Ms. Balli. I have been very blessed to have gotten each teacher that I have requested these past two years!

Banned From Wal-Mart

I realize that I have not posted in a while due to many factors (facebook being a big one of them) so after my leave of absence, I chose an amusing post for your enjoyment! Incidentally, this is why I never take Mark shopping against his will:)

After I retired, my wife insisted that I accompany her on her trips to Wal-Mart. Unfortunately, like most men, I found shopping boring and preferred to get in and get out. Equally unfortunately, my wife is like most women - she loved to browse.

Yesterday my dear wife received the following letter from the local Wal-Mart:

Dear Mrs. Adams
Over the past six months, your husband has been causing quite a commotion in our store. We cannot tolerate this behavior and have been forced to ban both of you from the store. Our complaints against Mr. Adams are listed below and are documented by our video surveillance cameras .

1. June 15: Took 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in people's carts when they weren't looking.

2. July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at 5-minute intervals.

3. July 7: Made a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to the women's restroom.

4 July 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an official voice, 'Code 3 in Housewares. Get on it right away.'

5. August 4: Went to the Service Desk and tried to put a bag of M&M's on layaway.

6. August 14: Moved a 'CAUTION - WET FLOOR' sign to a carpeted area.

7. August 15: Set up a tent in the camping department and told other shoppers he'd invite them in if they would bring pillows and blankets from the bedding department.

8. August 23: When a clerk asked if they could help him he began crying and screamed, 'Why can't you people just leave me alone?'

9. September 4: Looked right into the security camera and used it as a mirror while he picked his nose.

10. September 10: While handling guns in the hunting department, he asked the clerk where the antidepressants were.

11. October 3: Darted around the store suspiciously while loudly humming the ' MissionImpossible' theme.

12. October 6: In the auto department, he practiced his 'Madonna look' by using different sizes of funnels.

13. October 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browsed through yelled, 'PICK ME! PICK ME!'

14. October 21: When an announcement came over the loud speaker, he assumed a fetal position and screamed, 'OH NO! IT'S THOSE VOICES AGAIN!'
And last, but not least...

15. October 23: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waited awhile, then yelled very loudly, 'Hey! There's no toilet paper in here!'
Sincerely,
Wal-Mart

Happy Birthday Kayci

My little Kayci girl is TWO years old today! I can't believe how much she has grown and how fast the time seems to be passing! The old phrase, "Seems like yesterday", is so true as my mind's eye sees it! I am so thrilled to be a part of this wonderful family and I can't wait to see all the tomorrows yet to come!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAYCI....I LOVE YOU!

The Trio

Kayci and Ty are my "bookends" as I call them. They are always together, argue like a little old couple, and will probably end up dating....it is so funny watching all the children that I keep as they seem to "pair off" all by themselves. Aubrey and Owen have done it and so have Kayci and Ty. Of course, Zoe will continue to make her presence known! She is "mother hen" to all of the babies and loves them dearly!

Last Day in Arabia

I am glad that they got to enjoy their last day in the AP with Paige just walking along the outskirts of the city. I know that this will be an adventure that will never be forgotten and one of the most precious times spent with Paige! I am so proud of her and that my parents got to spend this time with her......WONDERFUL!
